ERA Finalists Again
We are delighted to announce that for the second year running LDA has had two resources shortlisted for the prestigious ERA Awards.
The Target Ladders series and How to garden and grow: gardening as therapy for children with SEND are both finalists in the Educational Book Award category.
Target Ladders includes books on autism, dyslexia, BESD, SLCN, DCD and visual perception. This powerful series of practical books, all authored by specialists in their field, fully supports the SENCo and class teacher in working to close the gap between children with SEN and their peers.
How to garden and grow is a practical and inspiring book is full of information, suggestions, games and activities to give teachers and teaching assistants the confidence to garden with children with SEND. Covering everything from gardening basics and design considerations to a year-round programme of gardening and garden-related activities, it demonstrates the educational and therapeutic benefits of spending time in the garden for children with SEND and how to make it possible for all children to do so.
LDA was also twice-nominated for the awards in 2015, where the Kaos World Chronicles series and How to understand and apply reforms in SEN policy were both finalists in the SEN – non ICT resources category.
Congratulations to all the authors and we look forward to finding out the winners on Friday 18th March at a gala dinner at Birmingham’s National Motorcycle Museum. For the full list of finalists, click here.
